Heather Johnson

Dr. Heather Johnson is a Cardiologist and Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She is also a health services researcher with the University of Wisconsin (UW) Health Innovation Program and Co-Director of the UW Health Advanced Hypertension Program. 

She received her Medical Degree (M.D.) and Masters of Science (MS) in Population Health at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Dr. Johnson leads a research program to improve hypertension control and management of multiple cardiovascular disease risk factors in young adults.

Her research findings have highlighted critical delays in the management of high blood pressure among young adults. Dr. Johnson’s research has also informed the development of hypertension primary care interventions across healthcare systems.

Dr. Johnson’s personal interests include exercising, watching movies, and reading books.
